In order to be successful fly fishing the saltwater flats of the Guadeloupe coast, you’ll need to be proficient at several different things.
First, you need to have the ability to sight the fish. Like a hunter, the fly fisherman needs to spot his target while fishing in the flats. Once the fish or school is sighted, the fly fisherman cautiously maneuvers into position to make a good cast. A precise cast and proper fly imitation will hopefully yield a hit, and then the fight is on! Bonefish are great runners and will test your line management skills.Tarpon and snook have acrobatic defenses that will test your nerves and patience.
